Yarn Bomb!

Have you ever yarn-bombed anything?  I haven't.  Yet.

Recently I was looking at the Groups section of Ravelry.  I rarely do that.  That particular day the group at the top of the list was Yarn Bomb Brigade of Pueblo, CO.  Hey, that's my hometown!  In June the group is going to yarn-bomb a gallery in the arts center.  Afterwards they will donate the knitted and crocheted items to a homeless shelter.  So it's yarn bombing with a purpose!  I decided I'd like to participate, even if it's long distance.  So I made some dish/washcloths.  I'll be mailing them off this week.
I'd forgotten how much fun and how addicting these ballband cloths are!  As a bonus, I used up a little bit of my dishcloth cotton stash.  But I think I still have enough for a lifetime.

More weekend fun:  We went to the International Festival again.  We saw the Texas Tornados, featuring the legendary Flaco Jimenez
I love live music!

I haven't done ball band cloths in ages. I'll have to dig out the pattern...

Neat that you can participate in the yarn bombing remotely!

Your comments don't come thru with an email to reply to... so... yes, I do have basil in one of the pots. I started it from seed though, so it's not much yet. My Pineapple Sage, Rosemary and Apple Mint were all small plants I bought ... should've done that with the basil too because I can't wait for it! lol
