Susanna IC KAL

I love all that Ravelry has to offer. I belong to some groups that are associated with favorite designers. I like reading other knitters' tips and seeing their finished object pictures of whatever it is I am making. It's kind of like a KAL.

So I was happy to see an actual KAL in Susanna IC's group. She is the designer of some of my favorite knits: Abrazo, Annis, and Hawthorne.

This would be a mystery KAL. All I knew was that it was a crescent shawl made of lace or fingering weight yarn and included nupps and beads. How could I pass this up? All I had to do was find a pretty skein of fingering weight yarn (out of my many, many, many choices in my stash), buy some beads, and wait for the clues to begin. The first clue arrived January 8. I cast on and began. Every Sunday for six weeks I'd wake up to a new clue in my Ravelry mailbox.

This is the result.

It's called Diantha.

The only thing I would do differently next time is pick beads that are not so close in color to the yarn.

I'm very pleased!

Okay, why don't I ever cast on for one of her patterns when I admire your FOs?! If ever I finish all this baby knitting...
